What it does

Voluum is a cloud-hosted affiliate tracker. The vendor describes it as "a cloud-based SaaS solution" on its pricing page. It does the core tracker job, recording each click with its source data, routing visitors through landers and offers, receiving conversions by postback and reporting profit per placement, lander and offer, without anything for you to install.

On top of that it sells automation. Its Automizer, according to the homepage, can "pause & activate campaigns, change bids, auto-update traffic costs, set auto-rules & alerts" through traffic source APIs, and the vendor says it "connects 130+ platforms". A ready MGID integration passes click IDs and costs.

It is the cloud route to tracking and attribution: you trade a per-event bill for zero server work.

Who it is for

Voluum fits buyers who do not want to run a server: solo buyers, small teams without a technical person, and agencies that value uptime guarantees and support over the lowest possible cost. In nutra it is the usual choice for affiliates who prefer not to run a server and accept a higher price per event.

It suits native and push buyers who want bid and placement automation through network APIs, since that is where Automizer works.

It suits poorly anyone sending tens of millions of cheap pop or push clicks a month on thin margins, where per-event overage makes a self-hosted tracker far cheaper, and buyers who want to keep click data off third-party servers.

Pros and cons

Pros

  • No infrastructure to run: the vendor hosts and scales the tracker.
  • Built-in automation rules and a long list of traffic source integrations.
  • Anti-fraud tooling and a long track record among media buyers.

Cons

  • Cost grows with event volume, so scaling traffic raises the bill.
  • Short data retention on the entry plan.
  • The entry price is higher than RedTrack, and useful features sit in upper tiers.
  • The vendor holds your data.

How it works

You create traffic source templates (Voluum has many ready ones), add offers from your CPA networks with Voluum's click ID macro, and build campaigns. Each campaign gets a tracking URL that goes into the ad network. Paths and rules route visitors by country, device and other attributes, with lander and offer rotation by weight.

Voluum counts usage in events. The pricing page defines "an event is any action being tracked, a visit, click, conversion, or impression", with 10 impressions counting as 1 event. So a visitor who lands on your prelander and clicks through to the offer is two events; a conversion adds a third.

Cost import and Automizer rules connect to supported traffic sources through their APIs, so Voluum can update spend and pause placements that break your rules without you exporting anything.

Setup effort

There is nothing to install. You sign up, add a custom domain, connect traffic sources and networks from templates, and send traffic. The pricing page offers a 14-day platform preview with no card required as of September 2026, enough to set up a real campaign.

The effort is in learning the interface and setting postbacks and cost import correctly, which is the same work on any tracker.

Within the preview, send a small amount of real traffic and fire a test postback from your CPA network, then check that the conversion, payout and cost all line up against the right click before scaling.

Strengths

No infrastructure. No server, no updates, no backups. The vendor claims "99.99% uptime" on its homepage. For a buyer without technical help this is the main reason to choose it.

Automation built in. Automizer's bid changes, pauses and auto-rules through traffic source APIs are part of the product rather than something you script yourself, though the ad spend it manages is capped on lower plans.

Wide integration list. The vendor's "130+ platforms" means ready templates for most ad networks and CPA networks a buyer uses.

Anti-fraud tooling. The vendor offers an Anti-Fraud Kit for filtering suspicious traffic.

Track record. The homepage says "12 years on the market", which counts for something in a category where tools come and go.

Automation still needs supervision: start any Automizer rule with alerts or narrow limits, review what it changed, and widen it only once its decisions match yours.

Limitations

Cost grows with volume. Every visit, click and conversion is an event. At high volume on cheap traffic, overage makes Voluum several times more expensive than Binom or Keitaro.

Short retention on the entry plan. As of September 2026 the pricing page lists 6 months of data retention on Profit, the cheapest plan, versus lifetime on self-hosted Binom.

Pricier entry than RedTrack. Voluum's entry plan is $119 a month on annual billing for 1 million events; RedTrack's is $79 for 2 million, per each vendor's pricing page.

Features gated by tier. Cookieless tracking and a higher Automizer ad spend limit start at the Start-up plan ($539 a month); Profit caps Automizer at $1,000 of ad spend.

Your data sits with the vendor. If the account is suspended or a payment fails, reports go with it.

Monthly billing costs more. The page defaults to annual prices. Switched to Monthly, it shows Profit at $149, Scale $349, Start-up $599, Agency $999 and Enterprise $1,999 a month, as of September 2026, so paying month to month adds roughly 15 to 25 percent.

Pricing, in context

As of September 2026, the pricing page lists, on annual billing: Profit $119 a month (1 million events, $0.06 per 1,000 extra), Scale $299 (5 million, $0.05), Start-up $539 (10 million, $0.05), Agency $799 (25 million, $0.035) and Enterprise $1,599 (60 million, $0.03), with larger plans above.

Illustrative arithmetic at 30 million events a month: Scale costs $299 plus 25 million extra events at $0.05 per 1,000, which is $1,250, for $1,549 in total. Agency costs $799 plus 5 million at $0.035 per 1,000, $175, for $974. Picking the plan by expected volume, not by entry price, saves hundreds.

When to pick an alternative

RedTrack is the true substitute: also cloud, also priced by events. Choose RedTrack if your traffic is mostly Meta, Google or TikTok and you need conversions sent back to those platforms through their conversion APIs, or if you want a cheaper entry plan with more included events. Choose Voluum if you buy mostly native and push and want Automizer's bid and placement rules, or you value its longer track record.

If volume is high and someone can run a server, Keitaro or Binom will cost much less per click.

Alternatives to Voluum

  • RedTrackBoth are cloud trackers priced by volume; the usual choice when you do not want to run a server.

Our verdict

Voluum is a reasonable choice for a buyer who wants a hosted tracker with automation for native and push, and who sends volume in the low millions of events a month, where the per-event price is still modest. The no-server model is worth real money to someone without technical help.

It becomes expensive at high volume and its entry plan is weaker than RedTrack's on events and retention. For social traffic, RedTrack is built more directly around conversion APIs.

Before committing, estimate events honestly (visits plus lander clicks plus conversions), run the plan arithmetic, and use the 14-day preview on a real campaign.
